Hardwood Bread Bow Knife, Sourdough Bread Knife

from $38.00
Wood:
Add Laser Engraving:

A bow knife built for the kind of bread worth slicing carefully. The hardwood frame holds a stainless steel blade under tension, letting the bow do the work — clean cuts through sourdough, boules, and crusty artisan loaves without tearing or compressing.

Available in Black Walnut or Quarter-Sawn White Oak, hand sanded and finished with food-safe oil.

Wood Options

Black Walnut Deep, rich tones with smooth grain. A natural fit for darker kitchen setups.

Quarter-Sawn White Oak Warm and bright with classic ray fleck grain. Works well against lighter counters.

Details

  • Available in Black Walnut or Quarter-Sawn White Oak

  • 16" long × 2" wide at widest point

  • 10.5" stainless steel blade

  • Hand sanded and finished with food-safe oil

  • Optional laser engraving available

  • Made in small batches in Virginia

Ambidextrous Design

The blade can be switched for left- or right-handed use. Back out the screws, reposition the blade to the opposing pre-drilled holes, and retighten — rotating each screw a couple of turns at a time until flush. The bow's tension will naturally pull the blade back to proper cutting tension as you tighten. Note: the handle holes are slightly wider than the blade hole spacing to allow for this.

Personalization

Engraving is available on the handle. A name, initials, or short phrase — a practical gift for anyone who bakes regularly.

Care

Hand wash and dry immediately after use. Do not soak or place in the dishwasher. Apply food-safe oil to the wood occasionally to maintain the finish.
